Is Gay Bingo Charlotte a game of chance?
No, it is not a game of chance and you will not win anything. Gay Bingo is not real bingo; it is an unconventional and entertaining fundraising event with a bingo theme. You are not able to win any money or prizes for playing.
I am interested in being a sponsor or having an ad in the program, how do I learn more and get information?
We would love to have you come on board as a sponsor or advertiser. We have several different opportunities and price points - ranging from $5,000 to $50. You can download the sponsorship and advertising packet (click here) or you can contact Nathan Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 704-973-9818.
When is Gay Bingo? And what time does it start?
Gay Bingo Charlotte is on Saturday, November 9 with a pre-bingo reception beginning at 6:00 PM and the show starting at 7:30 PM. Bingo usually begins on time (meaning sometimes we might start at 7:33 PM).
What time should I arrive?
The doors open for the pre-bingo reception at 6:00 PM. The ballroom doors open at 7:00 PM and the show begins at 7:30 PM. Seating is first come, first serve unless you purchased a reserved table.
Side Note: If you purchased a reserve table and want to decorate it you are allowed to access the Richardson Ballroom between 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM to decorate.
Where is Gay Bingo Charlotte?
Gay Bingo Charlotte has moved venues and is now at the Charlotte Convention Center, located at 501 S. College Street, in the Richardson Ballroom (corner of Martin Luther King Blvd and S. Brevard St).
Where do I park and is there a cost?
On-site parking is available at the NASCAR Hall of Fame parking deck, which is adjacent to the Charlotte Convention Center (standard rates apply). There are several options for parking including covered and flat surface lots - click here to see all options. You can also take the LYNX and get off on the 3rd Street/Convention Center Station exit.
Is the Charlotte Convention Center wheelchair accessible?
Yes, all passenger elevators at the Charlotte Convention Center are accessible to guests with disabilities. The center has accessible entrances from South College Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Is there an age restriction?
While we don't have a minimum age for attendance, we do ask that anyone in attendance 16 or younger be accompanied by a parent or guardian. There will be some adult humor, so please use your discretion if bringing children. At the end of the day it is up to the parent/guardian to make that decision.
Do I need to print my ticket? Can I transfer it to someone else?
You will need to either print your ticket or show your ticket on your mobile device. To cut down on paper waste and to move the line quickly we encourage everyone to download the Ticketleap app (Apple or Android) and use to show your ticket(s). Once a ticket has been scanned, it can not be repeated (so don't think about buying one ticket and printing it up multiple times - each ticket has a distinct coding attached to it).
Do I need to bring any bingo accessories with me?
No, your daubers and bingo sheets are provided for you (though we do ask that you return the dauber before you leave).
If I purchased a reserved table, can I decorate it beforehand?
If you purchased a reserve table in either the front or back section you will be able to access the Richardson Ballroom between 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM to decorate the table. Everyone will need to exit no later than 4:00 PM so that we can finalize everything.
Will there be food and drinks available?
We will have several food packages available that you can purchase online before bingo and will be at your table when you arrive that evening (provided by the Charlotte Convention Center) along with a full cash bar that will have beer, wine, liquor, water and sodas.
Can I bring outside alcohol into the Charlotte Convention Center?
No outside alcohol is allowed inside the facility and it is strictly enforced by security when the doors open (they will be checking bags and boxes upon arrival).
Do I have to wear a costume?
No, you don't have to wear a costume but we hope you will. Everyone is encouraged to take part in the fun and dress with the theme - SUPER HEROES! The sky is the limit to what super heroes mean to you (from your favorite TV show to the latest Marvel movie) and we can't wait to see your creativity.
Can I volunteer with Gay Bingo?
OMG, yes! We would love your help with Gay Bingo and we have several great opportunities from day of to night of bingo.
